Founded on June 13, 1902, in Two Harbors, Minnesota, the company was known as the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company from 1902 to 2002. It is now headquartered in Maplewood, a suburb of Saint Paul, Minnesota, and led by chairman and CEO William M. Brown.
