Astellas Pharma Inc. is a Japanese multinational pharmaceutical company formed on 1 April 2005 through the merger of Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Fujisawa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company operates in more than 70 countries and areas, employs more than 14,000 people worldwide, and reported global revenue of ¥2,139.2 billion (~$14.17 billion) in FY2025. It is a member of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFJ) keiretsu.
