In FY2024, the BMW Group sold over 2.45 million passenger vehicles and more than 210,000 motorcycles worldwide. The Group reported profit before tax of €11.0 billion on revenues of €142.4 billion, and as of 31 December 2024 employed 159,104 people.
Electrification is a growing share of the business. Electrified vehicles represented 24.2% of total BMW Group sales in 2024, with 593,215 units delivered, including 426,594 fully-electric vehicles — a 13.5% increase over the prior year. Sustainability is described as a key element of the Group's corporate strategy, covering products across the supply chain, production and end of useful life, which makes innovation in electrification and sustainable manufacturing directly relevant to the company.
