Brembo N.V. is an Italian manufacturer of automotive parts best known for producing braking systems for high-performance vehicles. Together with its subsidiaries, the company designs, develops, produces, and sells brake discs, calipers, wheel-side modules, and complete braking systems for cars, motorbikes, and industrial vehicles, as well as integrated engineering services for light commercial and heavy industrial vehicles, motorbikes, and racing competitions.

Founded on January 11, 1961, by Emilio Bombassei and Italo Breda and named after the Brembo river, the company quickly specialized in disc brakes. It grew through landmark supply relationships, beginning with Alfa Romeo in 1964 and Moto Guzzi in 1966, and in the 1980s expanded to supply BMW, Chrysler, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Porsche. Its legal seat is in Amsterdam, while its business and corporate address is in Bergamo, Italy. Brembo trades on the Borsa Italiana (BIT: BRE) in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap index and serves a worldwide market.
