China Development Research Foundation

A Beijing-based non-governmental public foundation focused on policy research and human development.

The China Development Research Foundation (CDRF) is a non-governmental public foundation based in Beijing. It was reportedly established in 1997 with backing from the Development Research Center of the State Council, the principal policy research body of the Chinese government.

The organization conducts policy research on China's economic and social development, publishing the China Development Report series and hosting the annual China Development Forum. This forum serves as a high-level platform for dialogue between Chinese government officials and international business and academic leaders.

Additionally, CDRF manages philanthropic and pilot programs centered on human development, specifically targeting nutrition, early childhood education, and child development in rural and impoverished areas. Due to its affiliation with a prominent think tank, it acts as a channel for communication between international firms and Chinese policymakers.
