Cohen Veterans Network – Get the FactsCohen Veterans Network (CVN) is a U.S. not-for-profit philanthropic organization headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. Founded in April 2016 through a $275 million commitment by philanthropist Steven A. Cohen, CVN was established to address mental health needs among post-9/11 veterans, active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and their families.
CVN operates 23 Cohen Clinics across 22 states and the District of Columbia, with five additional clinics planned on U.S. military bases. The organization recently expanded internationally, partnering with the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) to open clinics in Japan and South Korea—making CVN the first civilian mental health organization to operate on bases in the Indo-Pacific region.
Clinics accept most major insurance plans including TRICARE and provide confidential care that is not shared with the VA or other government entities except as required by law. CVN's operations carry no cost to the federal government, relying entirely on private philanthropy and state-level partnerships. The organization is led by President and CEO Dr. Anthony Hassan.
