Global power-solutions leader designing diesel, natural gas, electric and hybrid powertrains and components

Cummins Investor Relations — Q4 and Full Year 2024 Results

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) is a global power-solutions company headquartered in Columbus, Indiana. Founded on February 3, 1919, by self-taught engineer Clessie Cummins with starting capital from banker William G. Irwin, the company has grown over more than a century into a global leader in power solutions, dedicated to advancing smarter, cleaner power.

Cummins designs, manufactures, distributes and services diesel, natural gas, electric and hybrid powertrains and related components — including aftertreatment, turbochargers, fuel systems, valvetrain technologies, controls and air handling systems, automated transmissions, axles, drivelines, brakes, suspension systems, electric power generation systems, batteries, electrified power systems, hydrogen production technologies and fuel cell products. It sells to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), distributors, dealers and other customers worldwide. The company is organized into five business segments: Components, Engine, Distribution, Power Systems, and Accelera by Cummins.

Led by Chair and CEO Jennifer Rumsey, Cummins pursues its Destination Zero strategy, grounded in sustainability and helping customers navigate the energy transition with a broad product portfolio. In FY2024 the company reported record full-year revenues of $34.1 billion, GAAP net income of $3.9 billion (11.6% of sales) and diluted EPS of $28.37, despite a decline in heavy-duty truck demand in North America. Results were affected by a $1.3 billion gain from the separation of Atmus Filtration Technologies and fourth-quarter charges tied to the strategic reorganization of the Accelera segment as adoption of certain zero-emissions solutions slowed in some regions.

Cummins maintains global manufacturing and an extensive service and support network, and has become one of the largest engine manufacturers in both China and India. As a company actively managing the energy transition across diesel, electric, hybrid, hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, innovations in cleaner and smarter power are directly relevant to its core strategy and product roadmap.
