Daimler Truck (legal entity Daimler Truck Holding AG) is one of the world's largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles—trucks and buses—with a company history stretching back more than 125 years. It is headquartered in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany, and employs approximately 105,000 people across 42 production sites on five continents.

The company became a standalone, publicly listed entity through a spin-off from the former Daimler AG (now Mercedes-Benz Group), completed on 10 December 2021 with a listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The transaction was the largest spin-off in Germany and one of the three largest in Europe. Its shares trade in the Prime Standard under the symbol DTG (ISIN DE000DTR0CK8), and the company is a constituent of Germany's DAX index.

Daimler Truck operates a multi-brand portfolio of six truck brands (BharatBenz, Freightliner, Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, Rizon and Western Star) and five bus brands (BharatBenz, Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, Setra and Thomas Built). Its product range spans light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, specialized vehicles, city and intercity buses, coaches and bus chassis, alongside aftersales, connectivity, financing, leasing, fleet management, insurance and mobility services. In October 2024, Karin Rådström succeeded Martin Daum as CEO, setting out a 'Simpler. Faster. Stronger.' strategy.

In FY 2024, the company sold 460,409 commercial vehicles worldwide (down 12% year-over-year), while battery-electric truck and bus sales rose 17% to 4,035 units. Group revenue declined 3% to €54.1 billion and adjusted EBIT fell 15% to €4,667 million. A planned consolidation change is upcoming: Fuso will exit the scope of consolidation following a planned merger with Hino Motors to form Archion in April 2026, with Daimler Truck and Toyota each planning to hold 25%. Innovations in commercial vehicle technology—particularly electrification—are directly relevant given the company's scale, multi-brand global footprint and growing battery-electric portfolio.
