ENGEL Austria GmbH is a leading global manufacturer of injection moulding machines and integrated automated production cells, headquartered in Schwertberg, Upper Austria. Founded in 1945 by Ludwig Engel, the company built its first injection moulding machine in 1951 and remains 100% family-owned today, with Stefan Engleder serving as Chairman of the Management Board since 2016.

The company serves five primary industries—automotive, packaging, medical, teletronics, and technical molding—and processes thermoplastics, thermosets, and elastomers. With approximately 7,000 employees worldwide, nine production plants across Europe, North America, and Asia, and subsidiaries in 27 countries, ENGEL operates at significant global scale. Its Austrian plants export around 95% of their output, with major German automotive manufacturers and suppliers among its key customers.
