The Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) is a department of the European Commission responsible for developing and implementing transport and mobility policies across the European Union. It was established on 17 February 2010 when energy was separated from the combined DG TREN directorate to form a standalone DG Energy. DG MOVE is headquartered in Brussels and is organised into 11 directorates, led by Director-General Magda Kopczyńska under the political responsibility of Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas.

DG MOVE's mission is to ensure efficient, safe, secure, and environmentally friendly mobility across Europe, covering all modes of transport. It seeks to make the transport sector sustainable, affordable, and accessible through innovation, regulation, and targeted funding.

A key instrument under DG MOVE is the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), the EU's funding mechanism for strategic investment in transport, energy, and digital infrastructure. In the transport sector, CEF supports implementation of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), focusing on cross-border connections and missing links, with a dedicated transport budget of EUR 25.8 billion.
