EY
One of the Big Four global professional services and accounting networks.
EY – About Us (official site)EY (formerly Ernst & Young) is a British multinational professional services network headquartered in London, England. Formed in 1989 through the merger of Ernst & Whinney and Arthur Young & Co., it ranks among the Big Four professional services firms alongside Deloitte, KPMG, and PwC. The network operates through member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited, each functioning as a separate legal entity across three geographic areas: the Americas; Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa (EMEIA); and Asia-Pacific.
EY provides a broad range of services including assurance, tax, transaction advisory, audits, data analytics, AI-driven solutions, and advisory services. Specialty offerings include climate change and sustainability services, family business services, and global business network services. Assurance has historically been the firm's largest revenue generator, while advisory services have seen the greatest growth over the past decade.
As of mid-2024, EY employs approximately 393,000 people across more than 700 offices in over 150 countries and territories, with combined global revenue reaching a record ~$51 billion USD in 2024. Janet Truncale serves as Global Chair and CEO effective July 1, 2024. EY also sponsors the World Entrepreneur of the Year Award program, active in over 60 countries.
Given EY's scale in audit, advisory, and emerging AI-driven solutions, innovations in professional services technology, data analytics, or sustainability reporting are directly relevant to its global operations and client engagements.
