Faurecia (Forvia)

FORVIA SE (formerly Faurecia S.E., renamed in June 2023) is a French global automotive supplier headquartered in Nanterre, near Paris. A public company (Societas Europaea) founded in 1997 and listed on Euronext Paris under the mnemonic FRVIA, it ranked in 2022 as the 7th largest international automotive parts manufacturer and #1 for vehicle interiors and emission control technology. The FORVIA brand reflects the combination of the legacy Faurecia business with HELLA.

The group designs and manufactures automotive sub-systems across six business groups, operating through Seating, Interiors, Clean Mobility, Electronics, Lighting, and Lifecycle Solutions segments. These cover vehicle seats and frames, instrument and door panels and modules, exhaust systems and fuel-cell/aftertreatment solutions, display technologies and cockpit electronics (including HELLA and Clarion electronics), lighting technologies, and vehicle-lifecycle and workshop solutions. Customers include the Volkswagen Group, Stellantis, the Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance, Ford, General Motors, BMW, Daimler, Toyota, Hyundai-Kia, BYD and other OEMs, with about half of its sites being just-in-time plants.

In 2024 the group achieved consolidated revenue of €27 billion. It operates over 290 industrial sites and 78 R&D centers, with 150,000 people including more than 15,000 R&D engineers across 40+ countries. Its majority-owned electronics and lighting subsidiary FORVIA HELLA reported FY2024 currency-adjusted sales up 1.3% to €8.1 billion (reported sales of €8.0 billion).

Given its scale, breadth of electronics, lighting, clean mobility and cockpit technologies, and large R&D footprint, innovation in this space is directly relevant to FORVIA's product lines and competitive positioning across global OEM customers.
