Graphy Inc.

Graphy (also known as Graphy by Unacademy) is an India-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables educators, creators, and "knowledge entrepreneurs" to build, host, market, and monetize online courses and digital products. Its toolset spans website/app building, course creation, memberships, webinars, live cohort-based courses, and analytics. The company is headquartered in Bengaluru, India, and operates as a subsidiary within the Unacademy Group. It was launched around 2020–2021 as an Unacademy Group company focused on the creator economy.

Graphy was co-founded and led by Sumit Jain as Co-Founder and CEO. Jain is an IIT Roorkee–trained software engineer and internet entrepreneur previously known for founding the real-estate portal CommonFloor. In August 2023, Unacademy elevated him to a "Partner" role (described as equivalent to a co-founder), and in September 2024 he was additionally named CEO of Unacademy's flagship Test Prep business while continuing to lead Graphy.

The company has grown through acquisitions, including Noida-based edtech SaaS startup Spayee (October 2021, for about $25 million) and Scenes, a Singapore-based community-building platform. Graphy serves a global base of independent educators and content creators, competing with course-creation and creator-monetization platforms such as Teachable.

Because Graphy's core business is the creation, delivery, and monetization of online courses and community experiences for creators, innovations in this space—such as new tools for course building, learner engagement, or creator monetization—are directly relevant to its platform and customer base.
