Business Wire — Henry Schein One Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Henry Schein One is a dental technology company providing integrated practice management, patient communication, marketing, and analytics software to the dental industry. Its vision is to deliver technology innovation that connects its portfolio of practice technologies into one integrated system, automating tasks and simplifying digital workflows for dental practices.

Founded in 2018 as a joint venture, the company merged the market-leading practice management, patient communication, and marketing systems of Henry Schein and Internet Brands. Henry Schein, Inc. (Nasdaq: HSIC) — the largest wholesaler of dental and medical products to office-based practitioners — is the majority shareholder with more than 70% ownership, with senior management from both Henry Schein and Internet Brands serving on the board. Headquartered in American Fork, Utah, the joint venture initially employed roughly 1,500 team members and had pro-forma 2017 sales of approximately $400 million.

The company was launched under founding CEO James A. Harding (formerly Henry Schein's CTO); in February 2021, healthcare IT leader Mike Baird assumed the CEO role to drive growth and advance digital innovation. Its broad portfolio includes Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Dentrix Enterprise, Easy Dental, TechCentral, Demandforce, Sesame Communications, Lighthouse360, Officite, and DentalPlans.com, plus international brands such as Software of Excellence, Logiciel Julie, InfoMed, Axium, Power Practice, and LabNet.

Its flagship Dentrix has led the practice management software market for more than 20 years with over 35,000 teams using it, while Dentrix Enterprise serves large-group and multisite practices and Dentrix Ascend is its cloud-based offering. As the self-described world's largest dental practice management software company, innovation in dental software, integration, and digital workflows is central to its mission.
