The Transport Department is a civil service agency under the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government's Transport and Logistics Bureau. Established in 1968, it is headquartered in Yau Ma Tei and led by the Commissioner for Transport. The department manages transportation-related policy, including the issuance of driving licenses and the administration of vehicle registration and licensing.

With a staff of approximately 1,903 as of 2022 and an annual budget of HK$17,044.4 million for the 2023–2024 financial year, the department operates at a significant scale. The Commissioner for Transport also holds official directorships in several major transport companies, including the MTR Corporation and various bus and ferry operators.
