Juniper Networks Official Site

Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Juniper Networks is a networking technology company known for its M-series core routers used by telecom operators and internet service providers. The company's portfolio includes routing, switching, network security, and software-defined networking.

Juniper has integrated AI into its operations through the Mist AI networking platform, following the acquisition of Mist Systems in 2019. The company has historically operated as a primary competitor to Cisco in the carrier and enterprise networking markets.

In January 2024, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced an agreement to acquire Juniper Networks for approximately $14 billion. Following a legal challenge from the U.S. Department of Justice and a subsequent settlement involving divestitures, the acquisition was reported as completed in early July 2025.
