ScholarOne (Clarivate)

Enterprise web-based manuscript submission and peer-review platform for scholarly publishers

Silverchair — ScholarOne Manuscripts

ScholarOne is a web-based manuscript submission and peer-review management system widely used in scholarly publishing. Its core product, ScholarOne Manuscripts, automates the submission process and helps authors, editors, and reviewers manage editorial and peer-review workflows. The platform supports invitations, scoring, configurable journal sites, customizable submission forms, plagiarism/research integrity checks, and centralized communication to enable timely decisions.

The product line also includes ScholarOne Conferences for abstract and proceedings management, and ScholarOne Gateway, a centralized hub giving researchers and reviewers a unified view of their scholarly activities across a publisher's portfolio.

ScholarOne has a 25-year track record and is used by millions of researchers, reviewers, and editors worldwide, supporting more than half of the world's scholarly output. This scale and breadth of editorial workflows make innovation in submission, peer review, and research integrity directly relevant to its operations.

Ownership note: ScholarOne was long a Clarivate product (Clarivate is best known for Web of Science). On October 28, 2024, Silverchair announced a definitive agreement to acquire ScholarOne from Clarivate, and the product is now part of Silverchair's portfolio. Current-facing copy should treat the Clarivate association as historical.
