Straumann Group – About Our Business

The Straumann Group (SIX: STMN) is a Basel, Switzerland-headquartered global leader in tooth replacement and orthodontic solutions. Founded in 1954 by Reinhard Straumann — a Swiss engineer with a watchmaking background — the company originally specialised in alloys for timing instruments before pivoting into dental implantology. It went public on the Swiss stock exchange in 1998.

The Group researches, develops, manufactures and supplies dental implants, instruments, CAD/CAM prosthetics, orthodontic aligners, biomaterials, and digital solutions for tooth correction, replacement and restoration. Its portfolio spans multiple global brands including Straumann, Neodent, ClearCorrect, Anthogyr, Dental Wings, and Medentika, among others. It also provides training and education services in collaboration with the International Team for Implantology (ITI).

With more than 10,400 employees worldwide, the Group distributes products and services in over 100 countries. In the 2024 financial year, it reported revenue of CHF 2.5 billion and organic revenue growth of 13.7%, with a core EBIT margin of 27.6% at constant exchange rates and free cash flow of CHF 373 million.
