The Neon Museum

A nonprofit organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas neon signs.

The Neon Museum - About Us

Founded in 1996 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, The Neon Museum is located on over two acres in downtown Las Vegas. Its mission is to illuminate the cultural essence of Las Vegas by sharing iconic signage, diverse collections, and stories that define the city's past, present, and future.

The museum features the Neon Boneyard, an outdoor exhibition space housing over 250 signs, including 31 electrified displays. Its Visitor Center is located in the former La Concha Motel lobby, a mid-century modern structure designed by architect Paul Revere Williams. The museum opened at its current site in 2012.

To support its mission, the organization operates several programs, including history and night tours, an oral history project, and the Duck Duck Shed preservation program. Innovation in signage preservation and exhibition is central to their role in maintaining the art form synonymous with Las Vegas.
