Volvo Buses (formally Volvo Bus Corporation / Volvo Bussar AB) is a subsidiary and business area of the Volvo Group, established as an independent division in 1968. Its roots trace back to 1927 when Volvo was founded in Sweden, with the first Volvo bus appearing just one year later. The company is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, and operates production facilities across Europe, North and South America, Asia, and Australia, including a plant in Bangalore, India.

Volvo Buses is one of the world's leading providers of sustainable people transport solutions, offering city buses, intercity buses, tourist coaches, and bus chassis. It is present in 85 countries and supports customers through a global network of more than 1,500 dealerships and workshops. In North America, the company also operates under the Prevost brand, with more than 15,000 vehicles on North American roads and a position as the world leader in coach conversions.

Volvo introduced its first fully electric bus commercially on route 55 in Gothenburg in 2015, one of the earliest serially produced fully electric commercial vehicles globally.
