Walmart Marketplace
The third-party e-commerce selling platform operated by Walmart Inc.
Walmart CorporateWalmart Marketplace is a third-party (3P) e-commerce platform that allows independent U.S. and international merchants to sell products directly to shoppers on Walmart.com. Positioned as a marketplace built for sellers, it distinguishes itself by charging no monthly or setup fees, instead utilizing a referral/commission fee model based on sales.
The platform hosts over 200,000 active sellers, with approximately one-third being international merchants. To support these sellers, Walmart offers Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS), an in-house storage and shipping program used by about two-thirds of its sellers to improve delivery speed and gross merchandise value (GMV).
Walmart is aggressively investing in the platform's growth through category expansion, multichannel solutions, and omnichannel innovations. These efforts are designed to increase high-margin marketplace and advertising revenue to complement Walmart's first-party retail business.
