ZF Friedrichshafen AG (ZF Group), originally Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen ("Friedrichshafen Gear Factory"), is a German technology manufacturing company headquartered in Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg. It supplies systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and industrial technology, serving mobility applications ranging from motorcycles and construction equipment to trucks and yachts.

The ZF Group is structured into seven divisions and other companies, spanning Active Safety Systems, Car Chassis Technology, Electrified Powertrain Technology, Electronics & ADAS, Passive Safety Systems, Commercial Vehicle Solutions, Industrial Technology, and Aftermarket.

In fiscal year 2023, ZF achieved Group sales of €46.6 billion (up 6.5 percent from €43.8 billion in 2022), with adjusted EBIT of €2.4 billion and an adjusted EBIT margin of 5.1 percent. The Group reported around 168,700 employees worldwide and 162 production locations in 31 countries. It is majority owned by the Zeppelin Foundation (93.8 percent, administered by the City of Friedrichshafen), with the Dr. Jürgen and Irmgard Ulderup Foundation holding 6.2 percent.

ZF is pursuing performance programs to improve competitiveness and reduce its cost basis Group-wide by €6 billion by the end of 2025.
