Gadolinium-Free Glioma Grading Assistant
A brain-tumor grading assistant that runs on non-contrast MRI only: during training it learns enhancement signatures from patients' paired contrast-enhanced scans, and at deployment it grades gliomas from routine non-enhanced scans — sparing patients gadolinium injections. Research has now demonstrated the key building block — predicting contrast enhancement from non-contrast MRI — but no study yet shows glioma grading without contrast, so this remains a development-stage capability requiring multi-site and prospective validation.
