Tell Asmar Footprint Watch

A satellite change-detection layer anchored to the published footprints of the Gimilsin Temple and Palace of the Rulers at Tell Asmar, now extended to the private-house blocks and grave areas mapped in the Diyala houses-and-graves volume. New disturbance — looting pits, vehicle tracks, encroaching construction — is flagged inside and around those documented zones, with alerts ranked by documented grave density so the most looting-prone burial areas surface first. Multi-date imagery is radiometrically normalized before comparison, and the coarse 1972–1992 Landsat archive is used only as a mound-scale historical baseline.
